Journeyman Company: CCE/DFS Location: Bagdad, MD Description: CCE, Incorporated, a leading provider of contract services in the government Construction, Aviation, and Operations Support sector, is currently seeking a Journeyman for an anticipated project in Iraq. The journeyman will work under the general direction of the Site Manager. He / she receives general guidance and instruction and is expected to work with minimum direct supervision. Work is subject to evaluation based on acceptability, adherence to procedures and guidance, and overall effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS Must have at least three (3) years experience in general building or villa maintenance. Experience must include carpentry, equipment, electrical, plumbing, and painting skills. Previous experience with a western company is desirable. Must be physically able to perform heavy work when required. Should have a good knowledge of spoken and written English. MAJOR DUTIES Performs maintenance of all types of facilities in; equipment, carpentry, masonry, electrical, generators, plumbing, and painting work. Work performed is on both interior and exterior facilities. Performs in the general repair of installed appliances such as air-conditioners, washing machines, clothes dryers, refrigerators, and water pumps. Reports appliances requiring other than on-site repair or that are non-repairable, to supervisory personnel for replacement action. Makes repairs, within capabilities, to contractor-owned housing furniture and furnishings. Test water to ensure correct chemical solution is maintained. Adds chemical, as required, to maintained correct levels. Orders repair parts, as required from Site Manager. Ensures correct parts are ordered and monitors status of parts on order.
