Description: Job Description: Reports to the Plans Manager within the Operational Planning and Control (OP&C) Cell; is tasked to function as a Project Management Liaison (PML) within the Warfighter FOCUS Program Training Support System (TSS) Functional Area (TFA) structure. Must have significant experience in the operations and maintenance of US Army / military Training Aids and Devices (TADs) preferably with significant experience in the support of post 9 / 11 operations or exercises. Must have experience with or be familiar with the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). Must be able to work across organizational lines and possess extensive experience in building effective relationships. Working as a team member and a partner, contributes to one of the six TFAs by overseeing and coordinating both administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects assigned. Management expertise is required with emphasis especially placed on schedule development, milestone setting and statusing / updating using tools such as MS Project and Primavera (P6). Will be expected to be at the forefront of timely problem identification, actively participate in devising plans for remedy / mitigation, and detailed monitoring of the implemented result. Other duties include, but are not limited to, compiling inputs for program monthly reports, preparing presentation materials for internal and customer reviews, and assists in assembling contract deliverables as well as other related documents. These activities require the ability to accomplish cost / schedule / performance analysis and provide both variance and impact assessments. Support the OP&C Manager, the Plans Manager / Sr Operations Scheduler, and WFF Program Managers as required. Required Skills: - Minimum of five years experience in direct leadership position that required management and coordination with a multidiscipline workforce - Demonstrated competence in a scheduling tool such as MS Project or Primavera (P6) - Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Desired Skills: - Working knowledge of EVMS, Cost and Schedule Integration, and Risk Management - Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations - Understand of the roles functional areas including supply chain, finance, contracting, subcontract administration - Familiarity with the Gate Process - DoD Secret level clearance is a plus - Familiarity with various types of contacts including time and material as well as firm fixed price Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management or in a related area applied in service as a commissioned officer or senior non-commissioned officer in the US Army with significant experience in TOE units or 12+ years of rigorously related experience. Desired Education: A Master's Degree in Management or in a closely related field, service in Combat Arms units preferable and successful command at the company level as a minimum, S-3 and / or XO experience is a plus.
