Our Ashland Aqualon Functional Ingredients (AAFI) commercial unit located at 1313 North Market Street, Wilmington, DE is looking to fill a Global Marketing Manager opening. The Global Marketing Manager will be responsible for the overall strategy within the Construction business while working closely with the industry Vice President and Technology team to drive new growth opportunities. The candidate will chart the future pipeline of new products and adjacencies to meet growth targets for the Construction business. Critical activities include market segmentation; customer needs assessment, new product development opportunity identification, product value proposition development, strategic plan formulation and execution, and Senior Management interface. The Global Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying new customers and existing customer's needs and aligning resources to deliver solutions to meet those needs. Successful candidates will have: *Bachelor of Science degree in technical field such as Chemical Engineering or Chemistry *MBA highly desirable *Marketing experience of 10-15 years. *Deep knowledge of market segmentation methodology and in-depth segmentation experience *Significant product, market and industry experience in the area of responsibility *Knowledge of the industry technology and trends that will drive future customer needs *Experience in market and customer needs analysis *Ability to identify next generation product opportunities and demonstrated success in commercialization of new products *Must demonstrate strong technical ability *Excellent communications and business acumen skills *Ability to inter-relate effectively with senior management *Ability to work well under pressure *Authorized to work in the United States Ashland has a history of attracting the best people and keeping them.
