The role: Demand Planner As an expert in the areas of material planning and inventory management, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical elements of creating and executing our fulfillment plans. You will work closely with customers, procurement, engineering and supplier partners to develop accurate supply and demand forecasts that directly support Google’s rapidly growing hardware infrastructure. You will also drive the creation of tools, systems, and processes that enable greater operational efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities: Develop predictive, high quality global supply plans. Participate as a key team member in the development of product fulfillment strategies based upon predicted supply. Enable on-time and predictable delivery of material to customers. Optimize inventory levels as various points in the WW supply chain. Champion process improvements and tool development in support of ongoing inventory planning and management requiments. Requirements: Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business with emphasis in Operations or Finance. BS / MS in IE, ME a plus. MBA a plus. At least 5 years of work experience in supply chain operations / manufacturing. Experience with Oracle 11i in manufacturing or inventory. Excellent analytical skills, tenacious problem solver. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to successfully work across multiple levels of an organization.
