GIS Survey Technician (MS and AL)

MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN CLEARANCETEKsystems is looking for an Outside Plant Survey Technician is responsible for surveying telecommunications cabling and equipment on U.S. Air Force Installations. Technician will survey containers located in manholes, handholes, aerial mounted (climbing NOT required) to include overall condition of container structure and other installed equipment as needed. Survey duties will include labeling of cables, cable toning validation of compath, direction and interpretation of CSIR (Communication Information System Records) and butterfly drawings. Will also perform other tasks as directed to support implementation of the USAF CIPS Visualization Component (CVC) capability. The Survey Technician will also perform communication infrastructure data collection as part of a small survey team. The position requires strong communication (written and verbal / presentation) skills and substantial client interaction.Candidate must have understanding of communications infrastructure and Outside Cable Plant CSIR drawings. Experience coordinating and conducting field surveys to collect precise positional and descriptive data depicting communication manholes and cable infrastructures required. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
