Safety Manager (CIH/CSP)

We are currently seeking as CIH or CSP who will be responsible for the overall management of Corporate Environmental Safety and Health Program (CESHP) and for the effective implementation of the regulatory requirements associated with the CESHP. Job Summary:Ideal candidate with have a strong background within the industry and thorough knowledge / experience as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. This will include the effective integration of environmental, safety and health (ES&H) values and initiatives into all phases of project acquisition, design, planning, management and implementation. Job Responsibilities:- Manage, review, and implement CESHP.- Write, review and approve Prevention Plans, H&S Plans, and Activity Hazard Analysis forms for multi-disciplinary, multi-faceted, environmental remediation, building decontamination and demolition (D&D), and explosive hazard mitigation projects.- Provide consultation and recommendations to project management personnel during all phases of project execution. - Root causes and develop corrective actions.- Site visits to evaluate work hazards prior to bid or plan development. - On-site audits of projects to determine compliance. Job Requirements:- Certified as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and / or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required.- Qualified / Certified to instruct or direct 29 CFR 1910.120 8-hour refresher courses and other OSHA required competent person or hazard specific courses. - Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, PowerPoint). - A background with hazard evaluation and mitigation concerning Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC), building D&D, hazardous materials management, lead and asbestos abatement, and development of project plans. * Experience with US Army, US Navy, and the US Corps of Engineers is essential.For Immediate consideration regarding this position please contact Matt McBride at -Register to view- Required Skills: B.S. in Science or related field, 5+ yrs experience with Corporate H&S programs, Certified CIH and / or CSP, Ability to Travel up to 50%Join Aerotek E & ESM.
