Vice President - Construction/Boiler/Division 140-180 K/yr

Description:
Established Engineering & Construction company has an immediate need for a VP of Construction to run their construction management division. This is a hands on, "seller-doer" management position and requires you to have 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry supporting heavy industrial construction projects. You need specific construction experience installing and erecting solid fuel fired industrial boilers. The ideal candidate will be someone that currently works in a small to medium size company that has complete profit and loss responsibilities for a construction division or a Sr. Construction Manager who is ready to move up into a VP role. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that offers a lot of upside potential. Salary commensurate with experience. You will be eligible for a bonus based on the profit of your projects as well as any change orders you initiate.ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and direct the construction function for a multi-million dollar operation specializing in solid fuel, field erected boiler systemsDevelop and grow relationships with existing key accounts as well as develop & implement a plan to prospect new accounts and industriesEvaluate the effectiveness of current construction practices and standards and develop and manage the implementation of changes to improve the processManagement of the client relationship for all subjects relative to project execution and construction contract managementInsure timely and accurate performance tracking of project schedules, budgets, risks, claims, environment, safety, health, and quality controlMeet corporate goals and objectives with respect to division revenues and profitabilityComplete profit and loss (P&L) responsibilityTravel up to 75% of the time, both domestic and internationalRequirementsYou need a BS degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementConstruction Management experience in the field on solid fuel fired boiler construction projectsApply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize profitability and performanceYou need proven experience managing construction efforts that lead to making a profitYou need a thorough understanding of corporate and construction industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activitiesThe ideal candidate will have a proficiency in scheduling software, including Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Bentley AutoPLANT, and Microsoft OfficeBenefitsExcellent upside potentialExcellent salary that is commensurate with experienceBonus program based on project profitability and change orders you initiateClient will offer relocation assistance for the right candidateQuestions you will be asked: • How much Construction Management experience do you have on solid fuel fired industrial boilers?
