SAFETY MANAGER - OIL & GAS INDUSTRY

Description:
Chief Oil & Gas LLC is an independent oil and gas company with corporate offices in Dallas. Our company is engaged in exploration, development and production of unconventional shale gas reserves primarily in the Marcellus Shale. This position will be located in our regional office in Wexford, PA. (Suburb of Pittsburgh) We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to carry out projects and assignments independently. Analyze safety regulations, explain the requirements, and coordinate the development and implementation of applicable programs for cost effective compliance. Will be the technical expert on health and safety issues. The ideal individual would have at least 5+ years of experience in the development, management and implementation of Safety Programs in the oil and gas industry. This will include conducting facility inspections to determine safety needs, development and implementation of the Safety Plan, as well as individual site specific safety plans, conducting safety audits, hazard analysis, lockout / tagouts, reviewing fall protection procedures, providing monthly employee safety training, facilitating materials handling safety procedures, accident investigations, and providing company point of contact for OSHA compliance and reporting and / or log issues. BS or BA degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated proficiency building and maintaining positive professional relationships. CSP certification desired.
