Description: In-process Inspector Division Overview: Founded in 1933, Telephonics started as a defense contractor, manufacturing headsets for military aircraft from a small factory in New York. Brief Summary: In-process and final inspection of sub-assemblies and final assemblies through various stages of manufacturing, utilizing blue prints, Engineering Change Notices, Interdivisional Work Authorizations, contract reviews and company procedures. Reports any deviation to appropriate production / engineering and / or quality staff. Requirements: One-year certificate from college or technical school plus 5-8 years directly related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Must be familiar with Mil-Std-454 and / or Mil-Std-2000A. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, charts and some technical electronic documentation required. Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance, which includes US citizenship.
