Job Code: 10309 Job Description APAC-Kansas City, an operating company of Oldcastle Materials Inc., one of the largest materials supplier and highway construction contractors in the United States, is currently seeking a Vice President of Construction to join our team. This position will be based in Kansas City. As Vice President of Construction, the successful candidate will manage all construction activities for APAC - Kansas City. The position reports to the Company President and will maintain oversight of all aspects of roadway construction (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, and crane rental. Three area managers report directly to this position. The responsibilities include project and crane rental profit and loss, estimating and bidding, project execution, and scheduling. Summary of responsibilities: ?Ensures the safe execution of all activities ?Manages / oversees entire construction and crane rental operation ?Drives construction & crane rental profit & loss ?Develops people ?Provides direction and leadership to construction staff ?Coordinates projects, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers ?Assures quality of projects ?Monitors and drives schedules ?Performs accurate project revenue and cost reviews ?Reviews monthly performance and reports to senior management ?Establishes and maintains working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. ?Manages customer satisfaction About APAC - Kansas City: APAC - Kansas City operates in the metropolitan Kansas City area and is a leading provider of high-quality products and construction services including construction aggregates, and hot-mix asphalt sales, asphalt and concrete paving, bridge construction, crane rental, trucking and heavy hauling. Required Skills Requirements: ?Intimate knowledge of bridge and roadway construction business ?Skilled in bridge construction, roadway construction and estimating ?Knowledge of crane rental business ?Knowledgeable of contractual forms / processes / business practices ?Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent and 15 years of relevant experience required.
