ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT About the job: The commercial Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of assigned projects from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including customer relations and cost control of general conditions as directed by the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Other duties include, but are not limited to: ? Assist Project Superintendents in formulating construction schedules and maintaining construction schedules throughout the project ? Supervising all employees, subcontractors and vendors on jobsite to ensure both quality control and project compliance as directed by the Project Superintendent ? Resolve problems as they arise regarding plans and specifications, conflicts with the architect, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes and requests. Final approval and directive needs to be approved by the Project Superintendent ? Accurately maintaining and submitting the following documents: ? As Builts RFI's ? Daily Reports Incident Reports ? Safety Meetings Photographs ? Meeting Minutes Permits ? Work Orders Telephone Correspondence ? Attend regularly scheduled safety training and procedure meetings ? Assists Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and verification of costs ? To play an active role in the participation and management of field safety according to the standards of OSHA, insurance carriers, clients and the W. L. Butler safety program. This includes training, planning, communication, monitoring, enforcement and documentation ? The salary range for this position is mid $50's to low $70's. About you: ? Our ideal candidate will be supportive in a team environment; think "big picture" and take into account long term implications while constantly analyzing ways to improve performance and product ? Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry in a supervisory role ? OSHA 10 hour training or equivalent ? CPR and First Aid certified ? AQMD, SWPPPS V Protect Environment / Public ? Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) ? Advanced level in Microsoft Project ? Beginning to intermediate level in Constructware ? Intermediate to advanced level understanding of digital images (how to open, view, customize and print them) ? Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments ? Extreme attention to detail ? Excellent written and oral communication skills ? Ability to work outside year round in all types of weather conditions ? Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances. ? Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project ? Hearing and visual capabilities to safely handle the hazards encountered in the work environment ? Ability to lift heavy objects as encountered in the work environment ? Ability to raise, lower and climb various types of ladders ? Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with Company and insurance carrier standards and policies ? Provides personal transportation that is insured, legal and reliable to multiple and sometimes distant jobsites ? Uses cellular and electronic mail communication tools effectively so as to continuously remain within communication range of other company managers ?
