Project Manager/Architect & Interior Designer ? Senior Level (Washington, DC)Must possess Active TSSCI clearance to be considered.Key Role/Position DescriptionCoordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle of facilities-related projects worldwide. Manage the project design and/or construction effort and evaluate contractor performance. Provide official weekly project status reports. Assemble a high performance, integrated team of all stakeholders; manage communications, and establish expectations throughout the project. Assist the Contracting Officer and COTR with acquisition planning, execution, and administration. Collect requirements, prepare SOW, conduct market research, and develop sole source justification if appropriate. Conduct technical reviews and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes, and proposed change requests. Review and approve shop drawings and submittals. Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits. Prepare Contractor Performance Report (CPR) upon contract closeout.Basic Qualifications* Possess a Top Secret Special Compartmentalized Information with full Polygraph clearance. * Bachelors degree from an accredited school in architecture, building engineering, or interior design and subject matter expertise of a minimum of ten years experience at the Full Performance level in design and space planning of commercial or governmental interior or construction projects. * Working knowledge of at least two of the following: Systems furniture and specifications, Building codes and ADA requirements, Informational technology, mechanical, electrical, communications systems, AutoCAD or Microsoft Office Suite and Project software packages Demonstrated performance in a variety of interior renovation projects. * Work nights and weekends, as required, for operational necessities.? Travel domestically or overseas for the Government, as required.Additional Qualifications? Licenses, and/or certifications preferred: National Council of Architectural Review Boards (NCARB) architect license, National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification, PE at the Senior level or Professional Project Manager certification.? This assignment will require significant time management attention and strategic thinking to meet a tight time frame for completion of the work. The Project Architect will be expected to work past normal business hours on occasion to meet deadlines and may need to participate in coordination phone calls with clients and consultants in China (12 hour time difference). Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Excellent communication and presentation skills, detailing ability, strong code knowledge, planning/scheduling skills. The position requires experience with international projects including, 80-100 meter office towers, core and shell. Should have the ability to lead a time from conceptual design through construction administration. Requires the ability to lead meetings, perform code analysis, strategize documentation, mentor younger staff, coordinate all disciplines and ensure document quality within schedules and budgets. Ideally, should also be highly CAD (Revit) capable and willing to be a major contributor to the production output of the team. Sketch Up proficiency a plus.
