DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Building and implementing detailed performance test strategies for commercially developed software; (2) Collaborating with product development groups to help execute, measure, optimize, and integrate performance strategies into iterative release cycles; (3) Participating in project life cycle from analysis to production implementation with emphasis on production data analysis to define the appropriate customer and account profiles required in order to conduct comprehensive performance load and stress testing and auditable documentation of results; (4) Supporting test planning and execution based on analysis of requirements and design documents; (5) Profiling customer and account data required to conduct production-like performance testing; (6) Determining the list of Key Processing Indicators (KPIs) for each application and developing the metrics that should be tracked; (7) Monitoring application production metrics using a wide variety of tools and interfaces; (8) Performing data mining to extract large volumes of data required to complete load tests; (9) Constructing and maintaining a list of prioritized risks, hot-spots, concern areas, and plans for resolution; (10) Writing/maintaining and executing test case scripts; (11) Documenting detailed results and summary reports; (12) Driving execution of the performance and infrastructure testing to ensure all development deliverables are production ready; (13) Multi-tasking between current releases, multiple applications, install activities, and prioritizing tasks for next release(s); (14) Serving as a technical resource to other product test engineers and assuming a lead testing role on projects; (15) Researching performance-related production issues; (16) Driving all facets of the organizational performance strategy including load, concurrency and characterization testing.REQUIRED:10+ years of software or application performance testing experience with software or application performance testing being the core job focus.5+ years experience in HP Load Runner/Performance Center or comparable toolset.MUST have STRONG/CURRENT high capacity, service oriented system design and testing.MUST have STRONG/CURRENT experience in creating manual and automated test assets, load scripts, and performance plans.
