Job Title: Enterprise Architect Company: Select Portfolio Servicing Location: Salt Lake City, UT Description: Enterprise Architect:The architects are responsible for providing the strategic technological vision and roadmap for their respective disciplines. As part of this process, they must ensure that their vision aligns with both long and short-term strategic business goals. They must actively communicate their ideas and vision to executives and associates throughout the organization, and especially within IT. They provide the standards, tools and guidance to ensure that development efforts are contributing the vision. They identify and recommend core technologies that will improve development throughput, standards adherence, architectural guidance, and system stability. They provide solution concepts, architectural design, and guidance for every development project coming through the project queue. The solutions designed must contribute the right balance between business goals and strategic technical vision.            Duties:1.       Maintain a deep understanding of the business processes and strategic business vision.2.       Ensure the technology vision is aligned with business vision.3.       Meet extensively with subject matter experts throughout the organization to fully understand business processes, information flows, and the relationships between business units. Assist the Business Analyst in documenting and organize that knowledge in a way that can be used by IT staff to better understand the business problems they are trying to solve. 4.       Prepare and publish an enterprise architecture vision, and the intermediate goals that will help us achieve it. Sell the enterprise vision to executives and other associates throughout the organization to obtain support for the vision at all levels.5.       Actively assist the Business Analyst in identifying the right solution.6.       Actively participate in all system design and continually review those designs to ensure they align with the business and technology visions. Identify commonality between business processes throughout the organization and ensure that systems are designed to offer the correct balance of performance, consistency, reusability, and maintainability.7.       Anticipate potential problems with proposed solutions and offer ways to minimize or eliminate the risk that a solution will have to be replaced or discarded in the near future.8.       Maintain a current understanding of new technologies and trends and prepare recommendations for if, when, and how they should be incorporated into the enterprise.9.       Ensure that each and every architectural decision is made with its impact on the entire enterprise kept firmly in mind.            Specs: Bachelors; Masters preferred. Or equivalent experience1.       3+ years experience with MS SQL Server.2.       4+ years experience with Windows NT/2000.3.       5+ years experience with RDBM.4.       Microsoft SQL analysis Services.
