Job Title: AutoCAD Electrical Drafter Company: Aerotek Location: San Diego, CA Description: JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an individual well versed and experienced in AutoCAD Electrical. This is a temporary contract position of approximately 3 months duration. The candidate must have experience using AutoCAD Electrical, preferably AutoCAD Electrical 2010, with respect to electromechanical products. The candidate will work with engineers to create eletromechanical models and develop and maintain fully detailed schematic drawings for panel enclosures, as well as cable drawings, harnesses, exploded views, assembly drawings and system diagrams. Candidates will be required to adhere to established specifications and standards and must have experience with geometric tolerances and industry best practices. Candidate will also provide documentation control and coordinate ECO’s and change requests. DUTIES AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: o Create industrial electrical engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD Electrical 2010. o Create/Write/Incorporate Engineering Change Orders when necessary. o Create and use AutoCAD Electrical models. o Perform additional duties as requested by department Manager. SKILLS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: o Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical 2010. o Good working knowledge of SolidWorks, preferably 2009. o Good verbal and written communication skills. o Self-starter, ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. o Excellent interpersonal skills and ability collaborate with co-workers and clients. o Ability to multitask well and receive input from multiple engineers. EDUCATION: Minimum of high school education and technical (drafting) training. AA degree in related field or equivalent vocational certificate and/or work experience preferred. EXPERIENCE: Five years minimum relevant work experience in electro-mechanical drafting using AutoCAD Electrical software.
