Job Title: CAD Specialist Company: Location: Kapolei, HI Description: Job Description: Mid-sized commercial contractor in Kapolei is seeking a full-time CAD Specialist to join their expanding team. The primary function of the CAD Specialist is to design and complete the details as well as planning. Additionally, produce professional technical drawing packages with applications for commercial and/or residential. Finally, complete additional documentation that follows exact specifications required for each job. Responsibilities: ? Submit shop drawings with reference made to detail numbers on the contract drawings that are submitted to the architect for approval. ? Interface and download CAD files into Excel spreadsheets to calculate different dimensions in the design. ? Manage the file folder created for CAD that provides all necessary data to support each job on the Job Status Report. ? Plan and schedule daily tasks devoted to the completion of design and drawings required to meet deadlines. ? Give take offs to Project Managers, Foremen and Field personnel to know the exact dimensions of square footage needed for each section. ? Project Managers need to review shop drawings in a timely manner in order for CAD to do submittals on time. Requirements: Skill, Knowledge and Abilities ? Must have highly technical skills and attention to details. ? Should work well under pressure with changing deadlines and priorities. ? Should be qualified with advanced ability to use drafting and drawing techniques. ? Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. ? Must have the ability to work well with people on various levels. ? Must be highly specialized in computer applications for designing. ? Should be knowledgeable with Windows MS Office Software, AutoCAD Program, Windows XP, Vista, and Master Builder is a plus. ? Incumbent should be a quick learner and highly motivated. Education: ? Bachelor?s Degree (B.A.) from a college and/or university, or three or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. ? Working condition: Office environment. 40 ? 60 hours minimal required to work per week. ? Compliance with company Policies and Procedures and Rules of Conduct as described in the company manual Reporting Relationships: ? The CAD Specialist reports directly to the VP of Operations. The CAD Specialist must have accuracy of plans, detail drawings, correct scales, slope specifications, location, height, and knowledge of systems. ?
