Design Drafter ESSENTIAL DUTIESUses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of machine and products.Draws finished designs from sketches.Communicate with Tooling, QA, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.Perform other duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTechnical drafting degree or 4 years minimum design work experience required.Autocad Mechanical Desktop 2002 or later experience requiredAutodesk Inventor 9 or later experience required. Must be able to read, interpret, and use DOD standards and customer-supplied documentation. Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. Able to receive and transmit drawings electronically with or without translation into a customer CAD software. Job Title: Junior Railroad Signal Engineers - Microstation CAD Operators

Description:
Growing signal engineering contracting company is looking for junior to mid-level signals engineers for new Kansas City office. These positions will work with senior signal engineers to design coded track signaling and grade crossing applications. This work will involve extensive revisions to existing plans and asbuilts. Primarily we are looking to good Microsation CAD operators who have experience in railroad signaling. The ability to revise plans accurately and in a timely manner is essential. Compensation is above average. Interested candidates need not submit full resume at this time. Please reply with brief description of experience and interest. Replies will be screened and forwarded to vice president of signal engineering. DO NOT REPLY if you do not have experience and meet the following requirements. Requirements CAD operators are as follows: ?Good computer skills (Microstation v8, IRAS and AutoCAD). ?Basic experience using spreadsheets (Excel) ?Good knowledge of Outlook to read and create e-mails in order to communicate with customers and co-workers. ?Good knowledge of printing using IPLOT and basic copy/printing equipment. ?Must have basic grasp of electrical theory and have basic mechanical skills (Prior railroad signal maintaining training a plus). ?Ability to work overtime as required ?Ability to sit at workstation for long periods of time. ?Must show legal right to work in state of Kansas These positions are in support of 2-5 year contract with national Class-1 railroad however they will be ongoing and may lead to other opportunities within the company. Requirements Junior Signal Engineers are as follows (Same as CAD Operators in addition): ?Good knowledge if railroad signaling (DC track circuits, Coded Track Equipment, Interlocking design). ?Good knowledge if crossing control design. ?Create markups and plan revisions and work closely with CAD operators. ?Adapt quickly to multiple and changing design standards.
