Job Title: CADD DESIGNER - DRAFTSMAN - DRAFTER Company: TARSCO Location: Pittsburgh, PA Description: TARSCO Inc. is a growing player in the field of construction, repair and maintenance of field-welded, above ground steel tanks. Our contracts include projects in renewable fuels, asphalt, petroleum and water markets. Based in Southern California, TARSCO has quickly expanded to win and perform contracts throughout  the United States and even internationally. We are currently opening a design center in Pittsburgh, PA and are looking for several CAD operators to provide central design support to several remote operations of TARSCO and its affiliated companies.Duties Include:Perform basic layouts in AutoCAD and Solidworks, creating fabrication drawings that translate easily to promote automation of both purchasing and fabrication of the assemblies. These drawing packages  will also be utilized by field construction staff to erect or repair the tanks and associated equipment.Use proper industry codes (API 650, API 620, AWWA D100 and others), customer specifications and company standards in the generation of design drawing packages.Check and correct completed drawings.Preparation and maintenance of document transmittal and index forms.Site visits to take existing condition measurements to support design duties. These visits may involve climbing ladders and carrying measuring instruments.Other duties as assigned by Engineering Staff and CAD Management.Applicant Requirements:2+ years experience or equivalent training using Solidworks and AutoCAD software.2+ years experience in steel detailing for fabrication.Must have HS diploma or equivalent. Associates or vocational degree preferred.Skilled in the use of MS Excel, Word and other productivity software.Previous training in general drafting skills (free-hand sketching, multi-view and auxiliary view).Excellent math skills in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry.Self motivated with strong organizational skills.Strong communication skills both orally and writtenExperience in drafting of tanks for API 650, 653, 620 and/or AWWA Standards a plus.Salary commensurate with experience.
