Job Title: Civil Engineer Company: Location: Rapid City, SD Description: Serve as technical support on construction contracts. Perform quality assurance on construction projects. Perform many office administrative duties in support of the management of a construction contract. Review plans and specifications for purpose of determining constructability, operability, bid ability, and accuracy and for determining construction contractor conformance. Review contractor submittals, samples and certificates for contract compliance. Furnish technical support to other engineers on engineering features of work, preparing scopes for contract changes and modifications, assist in modification negotiations, and reviewing and analyzing problems associated with engineering features. Visit construction sites to perform quality assurance duties, promote and confirm safety compliance, investigate issues, and observe status of construction. Observe contractor quality control activities to ensure proper contract implementation.
