Job Title: Contract Specialist - HSB Company: Munich Re America Services Location: Hartford, CT Description: The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company has an opening for a Contract Specialist in our Hartford, CT office.Basic Function:In this position, you will participate on Client Company integration teams as Treaty expert. You will work with Underwriting, Client Company Managers, Client Operations Managers and Client Company to draft treaty wording to accurately document the terms and conditions of reinsurance agreements for Client Companies. You will prepare and update treaty documentation for underwriting reviews and input and maintain treaty information in the Client Reference database.Requirements: Qualifications - Education:Required: - Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Desired: - Law degree or advanced degree in Law, Business (e.g. MBA) or Insurance (e.g. CPCU or ARe designation). Qualifications - Work Experience:Required: - 3 years experience in the reinsurance industry or commercial property and casualty insurance industry. Experience with reinsurance treaties, or Equipment Breakdown insurance underwriting / coverage forms. Desired: - 5 years experience in the reinsurance industry in contract wordings.Qualifications - Technical Skills:Required: - PC skills, including Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Excellent written communication skills, including correct use of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Desired: - Understanding of HSB products and services, client company operations, reinsurance treaty construction and drafting techniques.Qualifications - Non-Technical Skills:Required: - Ability to work independently and within a team. Job Title: general contractor for kitchen and bath Company: Location: New Haven, CT Description: Seeking a licensed handyman/general contractor for the remodel of a small bathroom. Work includes installing a new pebble tile floor and pebble border on the wall, installing a ceiling vent fan, removing existing wall-mounted light fixtures and patching drywall, installing new light fixtures, adding an additional outlet, and possibly hanging mirrors and/or cabinets. We would like to get the bathroom done ASAP, and plan to start on a full kitchen remodel this summer.
