ResponsibilitiesThe CAD Specialist will:· Work closely under the oversight of the Senior CAD Design Specialist to support ATS’s construction & implementation projects such that ATS implements within expected timelines, cost budgets and quality· Use AutoCAD and/or Microstation to create associated construction and engineering drawings· Support the overall planning and development process of construction projects.· Work with team, manager and/or independently to coordinate with state, county and local jurisdictions to gain clarification or achieve approval for installation of camera systems.· Support work with field technicians and of contractors during construction phase of proposed installations and support completion of final record drawings that are accepted and implemented for camera installations. Experience Required· 3+ years experience in drafting of construction and engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and associated documentation· 3+ years experience working with AutoCAD, Microstation and/or other like systems· Experience with red light camera or traffic control systems and environment is a plus.· 3+ years experience with Windows operating systems and applications like MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint· Associates Degree· Strong knowledge of civil drafting and tools used to support this activity. Strong organizational skills such that projects are well organized and communicated. Management & CommunicationIndividual works well within a team environment. Ability to help support team’s ability to perform at high levels of performance. Utilizes drafting resources to create new tools to more efficiently carry out above mentioned tasks; includes hardware and software design. Use existing office drawing and standards as guidelines. Performs additional related duties as requested or required. Associate of Arts Degree in Drafting, Design or related field or 4 years drafting experience. Knowledge of Telecommunications Outside Plant (OSP) / Inside Plant (IP) drafting design is desired but not a firm requirement. Individual must have a working knowledge with AutoCAD 8 or later version, as well as Microsoft VISIO 2007 or later version. Individual must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet. Individual must have a firm understanding of STD-MS-0001 Standards. How to manage Paper Space / Model Space and how to insert external images as well as external data into AutoCAD drawings. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the Tenants of Configuration Management (CM) desired but not a mandatory. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Security Clearance.
