Job Title: Civil CAD Designer Company: URS Location: Fort Washington, PA Description: Associate degree or completion of equivalent technical trade school certificate. Working knowledge of CADD and drafting techniques, standards and software required; particularly Microstation, AutoCAD and Inroads. The candidate must be familiar with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission CADD standards such as symbology, reference files, text sizes, plotting and other production requirements. Also development of site drawings and design such as grading, lot layout and details for various Developers. Some tasks will involve data collection and displaying that data on drawings and the creation of base sheets for development of engineering designs. Job Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY SKILL REQUIREMENTS Requires an Associate Degree in Design Drafting (CAD) or Engineering or minimum 3 years equivalent industry experience. Computer Skills Experienced AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software with preferred experience in 3D modeling and PCB layout. Experienced in MS Office tools including word processing and spreadsheets. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, economics and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited information.
