Position Summary
Responsible for creation and maintenance of station piping, P&ID, Electrical and Mechanical drawings.
Team Member on KPL’s Standard Drawing Technical guideline team.
Team Member on KPL’s P&ID Technical guideline team.
Assist KPL’s Northern and Southern Engineering groups with drafting activities associated with fabrication & construction drawings that help establish cost’s associated with projects.
Provide assistance to KPL’s Compliance Groups during audits by ensuring that KPL’s drawings are reviewed, accurate and accounted for.
Provide accurate and easy accessible Station and Terminal drawings for all KPL employees.
Ensure “Site Maps” company intranet website is managed and maintained.
Requirements
3-5 years hands on experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
2+ years drafting experience in the pipeline industry.
Ability to build drawings from scratch using CAD software (AutoCAD®)
Must be able to finish drawings with minimal guidance using drafting techniques.
Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work as team or independently without supervision
2 year Associate of Science Degree or Technical College with emphasis in Drafting
Preferred
