Job Title: Construction Estimator - Civil Infrastructure Company: URS Location: Metairie, LA Description: -Must have a Bachelors degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.-Must have a minimum of 5 years of Cost Estimating experience on large heavy industrial or public infrastructure construction projects.-Must have experience with new large civil infrastructure projects such as levees, bridges, marine structures, roads, or military facilities. -Must have demonstrated experience with cost estimating software such as Micro-Computer Aided Cost Estimating System (MCACES), Second Generation (MII) software with USACE applications.-Must have demonstrated negotiating skills-Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.-Must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.-Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites in the Greater New Orleans area on an as-needed basis. -Position is for a project with the USACE (US Army Corps of Engineers) and requires a favorable National Agency Check (NAC). Qualified candidates will have to complete form SF-85P to be submitted to the USACE for processing. Job Description : This position will provide program coordination and cost estimating support to multiple large civil infrastructure task orders under a master Corps of Engineers contract.
