Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager Company: Hubbell, Inc. Location: Leeds, AL Description: Description Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) is a leader in the manufacture and distribution of a wide variety of transmission, distribution, substation, OEM and telecommunications products used by utilities. The QA Manager manages the quality function to contribute to the organization through customer satisfaction, reduction of internal scrap through defect prevention and root cause elimination and continuation of ISO certification.           Responsibilities:  Develops and implements quality plans to ensure conformity of purchased material, manufactured parts and final products to quality standards.Devises and updates the quality manual to incorporate changes and enhancements.Develops and maintains all quality systems such as SPC, gauge calibration, auditing, and first article inspection.Meets with vendors. customers, quality representatives and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.Prepares for and represents the Company in all internal and external  audits. Controls department expenses within the budget.Investigates and answers customer complaints.       Requirements         Requirements:Ability to travel on business related trips; ability to move to various locations within the Company; ability to communicate effectively  both orally and written; proficiency on a PC with MS office; ability to use related equipment as required. Job Title: Temporary Construction Inspector Company: Location: Birmingham, AL Description: CDG Engineers & Associates, an engineering consulting firm, is seeking an individual to fill the position of Temporary Construction Observer. This is a project-specific, TEMPORARY position lasting 4-6 months. Candidate must be able to read specifications and design plans and effectively communicate with contractors; must be able to drive to multiple construction sites. Overnight travel away from home may be required. Candidates with ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician ? Grade I Certification and ALDOT Concrete Certification are preferred but not required.
