Job Title: Senior QA/QC Inspector Company: Burns Location: Kansas City, MO Description: Site QA Manager Roles and Responsibilities - The Site QA Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is constructed, tested, inspected, and documented in accordance with the project specifications and prime agreement. This includes the activities noted below. The Site QA Manager will typically delegate a significant portion of these activities to other site personnel but maintain the responsibility for ensuring that they are performed correctly. The Site QA Manager reports to the Site Manager on a day to day basis and to the Manager of Quality Assurance for issues that can not be resolved at the jobsite. Materials Management Ensure that material and equipment delivered to the jobsite is properly received, stored, and maintained. This will be accomplished through inspection and record review. The Site QA Manager will assign some activities to be performed by others (including the Site Materials Manager, Site QA Inspectors, and subcontractors) but maintains the responsibility for ensuring that these activities are completed. Quality Assurance of Subcontractors Ensure that construction is performed in accordance with the specification and drawing requirements. This is also accomplished through preparatory planning, inspection, and record review. The extent of activities performed to ensure construction quality is dependant upon the type and complexity of the construction activity. However, the Site QA Manager or his delegate will typically perform the following activities for all major subcontracts: Hold a Preparatory Meeting with the subcontractor to review the applicable requirements. Perform a detailed inspection / review at the beginning of each feature of work within the subcontract (i.e. concrete application, structural steel erection, coatings application, etc.). Perform random inspections of work performed by subcontractors and review of QA documents as they are issued. Perform a final 'Punch-out.
