View all our jobs Job The Welding Inspector I provides timely, accurate, and cost efficient services both in the office and in the field. • Visually inspect welded and bolted connections. • Read and understand a wide variety of drawings, codes, and specifications. • Accurately communicate results of inspections in both verbal and written reports. • Be available to work at temporary job sites. • Possess intimate knowledge of welding, welding processes, and other related items. • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and devices. • Utilize effective communication skills to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public. • Attend internal and external meetings. • Provide all services in a legal and ethical manner. • Effectively deal with difficult situations and confrontation both internally and externally with contractors and clients. • Perform all responsibilities with attention to detail and deadlines. • Must project a professional, positive appearance and attitude and exercise confidentiality while routinely interfacing with customers, craftsmen, engineers, and other professionals. • Work effectively both independently and as a part of a team of inspectors. • Understand, interpret, participate in, and implement company-mandated safety policies. • Travel is required; may work overtime, especially during the construction season.
