Job Title: Construction Inspector Company: Jordan, Jones & Goulding Location: Knoxville, TN Description: JJG has a current need for an experienced Construction Resident Project Representative I in its Knoxville, TN office. Description:·         This position performs assignments associated with the inspection of the construction of water/wastewater facilities, water and wastewater transmission and conveyance work, and natural gas transmission mains.·         Maintains/organizes project records including daily field reports, testing and inspection reports, status reports, punch-lists, shop drawing submittals, O&M manuals, and other record documents; prepares and disseminates records as requested.·         Review and approve contractor’s monthly payment requisitions for further processing by project supervisor.·         Prepare daily construction reports; identify work activity, labor and equipment resources utilized, daily production, weather and field conditions, material deliveries, visitors, problems.·         Identify and convey to project supervisor potential problems such as out of scope work, differing site conditions, and work interference. Requirements:High school diploma; Associate’s degree preferred and at least one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in construction, preference giving to candidates with Water and Wastewater experience.  Knowledge Of: Materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of buildings, water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, drainage structures, park facilities, bridges, highways and roads.Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and equipment and product installation and instruction manuals. Basic knowledge of construction products, methods and procedures. Job Title: Highway Construction Inspector Company: Location: Nashville, TN Description: Seeking TDOT Certified Highway and Bridge Inspectors for projects in Region 3 (Nashville and surrounding counties). Must have current Materials Testing Certifications in at least one of the following: Concrete testing, Asphalt testing, Soils and aggregate testing. Previous experience with TDOT CEI contracts a plus.
