In this position, the Director of Land Acquisitions will lead, motivate and manage the team responsible for the following: - Acquire and entitle the land necessary to meet division goals and projections - Prospect for potential land acquisition opportunities - Provide information for the preparation of preliminary pro forma financial analysis for land opportunities - Negotiate terms and specific language to be included in purchase and sale agreements - Manage the preparation and approval of all entitlement documents required for new land purchases. The Land Acquisition team manages land purchases through entitlement processes, provide information for and participate in the coordination of land acquisition packages (pro forma's) for corporate approval. They review escrow instructions and closing documents, title reports, and coordinate title objection letters to sellers. In this position, you will need knowledge of the political environment and the ability to form political relationships, an understanding of market trends, pricing, growth and supply. A minimum of 5 years current experience in residential land acquisition strongly preferred.
