Energy Independence Group [EIG] is entering the field of architecture and low cost building construction. For the past year, EIG has been designing and installing Solar Electric Systems. EIG has marketed its services through electronic mailing, a web site at www.energyind.net/ and word of mouth. EIG intends to engage, train and administer the work of commissioned sales representatives in order to increase sales. EIG is well positioned in this market. Its Chief Technical Officer has been designing building, installing and maintaining Renewable Energy systems since the 1970s. Its Vice President for Operations was foreman on the Minneapolis Light Rail project. He has done other large and small construction projects as well. The Marketing Manager should have a technical background. He or she should have marketing experience and a passion for energy conservation and independence. Experience with commissioned sales representatives would be helpful but not critical. Every associate of EIG is a shareholder. This is a full time position. However, if the new manager has some work to finish, it could be part time temporarily.

This position will report to the Thermostats Product Marketing Director. Key Responsibilities include:   Provide overall business leadership for assigned products, systems and related services. This will include new product development, strategic pricing, promotion, and product positioning.Deliver consistent revenue and profitability results for assigned product portfolio. Partner closely with channel leaders and thermostat marketing team to drive product performance and delivery.Identify and implement proper pricing levels for thermostat products, systems and servicesDevelop and implement effective product, system and services positioning and promotion activitiesConsistently deliver on both short term product deadlines and long term development milestonesDemonstrated ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customersTravel 25%   Environmental Combustion and Controls (ECC) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS).
