Present report to New Bern Plant and North Olmsted Operations Staff. · Assist in the preparation for the Weekly Supplier Issues Meeting. · Drive the continuous improvement of interdepartmental and intradepartmental Material Planning and Supplier Management processes. · Participate in the specification of material lot sizes and material packaging. · Actively and aggressively pursue cost reductions, inventory reductions, and increased service year over year · Use SPC charts to identify and respond to deviations in process performance Material Planning: · Manage replenishment plan to meet corporate objectives. Review and adjust material plan regularly to reflect changes in system parameters. · Support new products, productivity projects, and other product changes to smoothly transition to the new product and minimize obsolete material. Work with project teams as necessary to execute the planned transition on time. · Manage Planning Time Fences to ensure the integrity of the production schedule and be responsive to demand changes · Identify and respond to input spikes or ongoing demand increases/decreases Supplier Management: · Manage vendor execution to ensure high availability of components. · Expedite supplier delivery commitments to support production requirements · Manage CPFR process with designated supply base Job Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS: · Required: Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Statistics, or related field. · Preferred: One to two years’ experience in Demand Planning, Material Planning or Master Scheduling. Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management from supplier through final assembly. · Ability to read, analyze, interpret and apply material from general business periodicals, professional journals, textbooks, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and, to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and suppliers. · Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as calculus, probability and statistics as they relate to the management of capacity, inventories and other supply chain problems. · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. · To perform this job successfully, an individual must be skilled in the use of MS Excel; MS Access and SAP experience preferred. · APICS preferred · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
