Design Quality Assurance Engineer Lehi, Utah PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Independent Quality Firm’s (IQF) primary responsibility is to manage the Quality Assurance for Raba-Kistner Infrastructure under contract with Provo River Constructors in Lehi, Utah. The Independent QA Firm shall perform Developer’s quality assurance. Additional tasks include review, comment, audit and inspection of Development Work to verify and document that the Development Work has been designed and constructed in conformance with the contract requirements, released-for-construction plans, specifications, and approved working and shop drawings; Quality assurance material sampling and testing; Auditing of records, documentation, procedures, and processes to verify compliance with the approved Quality Management Program (QMP). As DQA Engineer you shall be responsible for participation in the Quality Assurance Program. The DQAE shall be a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Utah or be able to obtain licensure with 6 months, and shall be an employee of the IQF. The DQAE shall report to the DQAM and I-15 Project Manager, who reports to Developer’s JV Board (Provo River Constructors) and UDOT. The DQAE shall not report to any person or party directly responsible for design or construction production. Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. • Minimum of 8 years of applicable civil engineering experience in highway design and construction. Also, 2 years in quality control/quality assurance activities. • Familiar with UDOT and AASHTO technical and construction practices in the transportation industry and contract administration handbook. • Licensed Professional Engineer in Utah, or able to apply for licensure within 6 months.
