You will be a member of the Computational Heat Transfer and Aero-acoustics Laboratory working to develop and apply tools for heat transfer prediction and analysis as well as turbine heat transfer design. These tools target GE Aviation and Energy business and research applications. This role is focused on (1) developing and implementing physics-based computational heat transfer and turbine thermal design methodologies and (2) using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools to investigate complex flow and heat transfer phenomena in a turbomachinery environment.You will be a member of a Global Research team to define, create, implement and validate state-of-the-art numerical heat transfer methods and turbine aero/heat transfer design processes for turbine component design. You will be responsible for defining analysis requirements based on specifications of customer needs, and executing the implementation of technical methods to facilitate the requirements. You will use both proprietary and commercial CFD solvers, analysis systems and databases, in your investigation of turbomachinery fluid and heat transfer phenomena.
