Job Title: Assistant Purchasing Agent/buyer/1355094 Company: Technisource Location: Marshall, MI Description: ASSISTANT PURCHASING AGENT/BUYERPrototype Buyer Position Overview:-Prototype buying, tool shop buying, and tool purchasing. -Purchasing strategy & mgmt - select, develop, maintain prototype supply base. -Request for quotes and order processing for all prototype needs. -Actively pursue cost outs through strategic selection and analysis. -Key SCM liaison with business technical unit-Full engagement with engineering team, participation in all project reviews and engineering development meetings. -Full interaction with program management to insure customer timelines are achieved. -Full prioritization, management and expediting of prototype supply orders. Key skill sets: -BS/BA, ability to read blueprints and drawings. -Solicit and analyze quotation from various tooling and prototype suppliers. -Maintain tracking schedules from the supply base in support of engineering. -Negotiation and communication skills with internal/external stakeholders. -Program management and activity management skills needed. -Fundamental understanding of materials, geometry and mechanics. -Fundamental understanding of part drawing and/or specifications -Full MS Office comprehension and capability, excellent organizational skills and time management skills. -Good written and oral communication skills.
