Plumbers specialize in pipes carrying water, drainage, and gases. They work primarily in homes and business buildings. Plumbers find and repair issues such as clogs in existing lines. They also install fixtures such as showers, sinks, and toilets.

Install and maintain pipes carrying liquids or gases. Plumbers, pipefitters, pipelayers, and steamfitters read blueprints in order to determine the supplies necessary for each project. They may work on systems that carry substances to/from or within a building. They also use techniques like pressure tests in order to verify that all pipes are stable and secure.
