Estimator – 1st Shift
Location: West Chester, Ohio
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift
Pay: $65,000 – $70,000 per year
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team in West Chester, OH. This role is responsible for reviewing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost and time estimates for products, projects, or services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost and time estimates
- Review architectural plans and verify project requirements with the application engineer as needed
- Prepare material take-offs by quantity and type for accurate pricing
- Draft Scope of Work documents to accompany customer quotations
- Obtain vendor quotes for non-standard materials or items not produced in-house
- Calculate estimates using cost data, pricing sheets, and historical information
- Provide input to improve cost estimating processes and reduce variances
- Identify cost trends to support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Assist in planning, organizing, and scheduling work, as well as evaluating cost-effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience
- 6 months to 1 year of related estimating experience preferred
- Proficiency with computer-aided drafting and V6 estimating software a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential
