We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Superintendent to oversee the ground-up development of a 27-unit affordable housing complex. The project consists of three levels of wood-frame construction over a concrete podium, with basement-level parking. This is a full-cycle role from site mobilization through final punch and turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
- Maintain daily logs, progress photos, and reports using Procore.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues.
- Manage material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
- Monitor project schedule and proactively address delays or issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on multi-family residential projects, preferably affordable housing.
- Proven experience with ground-up construction, including podium and stick-frame structures.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
- Proficient in Procore for project documentation and communication.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of local building codes and inspection processes.
Requirements
Preferred:
- Experience working with public agencies or affordable housing developers.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
