Job Description

Triple Crown Construction is a licensed General Contractor specializing in hotel and hospitality renovation projects. Since 1991, Triple Crown has partnered with highly regarded hotel brands across the United States. The Company has demonstrated expertise in renovations of Guest Rooms, Public Spaces, Food Service and Meeting Spaces in Select Service, Full Service, Boutique Hotels, and Resorts.

Triple Crown Construction is currently looking for a Traveling Superintendent.  This position will report to the Project Manager and will have the full responsibility for the quality of work, the pace of the project, and the safety of personnel at the job site. The Superintendent will be the company’s main point of contact on the job site and will manage the contractors and interface with clients. This position requires frequent travel nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team of trades/contractors to successful completion of assigned projects
  • Maintain standard of high-quality workmanship, proactive communication and on-time deliverables
  • Plan, assign, and schedule work for various trades/contractors based on project requirements
  • Maintain constant awareness of waste, unplanned expenditures and productivity
  • Manage overall worksite safety program and ensure personnel follow safety regulations
  • Ensure materials and supplies are ordered and delivered on time to ensure work schedules will not be interrupted
  • Maintain onsite inventory and control of all items in inventory and on-site
  • Provide hands-on field supervision, direction and corrective actions for onsite construction operations 
  • Continuously monitor work on job site and communicate with PM
  • Maintain clean job site, adhering to requirements of the client and TCC
  • Resolve any issues on job site
  • Complete daily logs and reports
  • Create progress reports
  • Respond to customer inquiries on job site 
  • Supervise and train new and existing superintendents, assistant superintendents and other team members as directed
  • Other tasks as directed

Requirements

  • Ability to read and fully understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong time management and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel to various job sites
  • Ability to work “on feet” 6 days a week
  • Must be able to travel 100%
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
  • Management, organization, decision-making and scheduling abilities
