Job Description

Triple Crown Construction is a licensed General Contractor specializing in hotel and hospitality renovation projects. Since 1991, Triple Crown has partnered with highly regarded hotel brands across the United States. The Company has demonstrated expertise in renovations of Guest Rooms, Public Spaces, Food Service and Meeting Spaces in Select Service, Full Service, Boutique Hotels, and Resorts.

We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Construction Assistant Superintendent / Supervisor who is willing to learn and travel to our projects around the country. The ideal candidate must have experience managing multiple trades, reading and understanding plans, and strong communication skills.

This position will report to the on-site Superintendent and/or the Project Manager and will have responsibility for the quality of work, the pace of the project, and the safety of personnel at the job site. The Assistant Superintendent will be one of the company’s main points of contact on the job site and will manage the contractors and interface with clients. This position requires travel nationwide.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Review and understand project specifications and drawings
  • Plan, assign, and schedule work for various contractors based on project requirements
  • Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and is in alignment with project schedule
  • Inspect and verify that quality of work performed meets company standard
  • Ensures worksite is clean and safe, and that all personnel adhere to safety regulations
  • Order materials and supplies to support work schedules
  • Provides hands-on field supervision for all construction operations
  • Leads and directs the job site team and subcontractors
  • Schedules daily work for various crew members and subcontractors
  • Completes daily logs and reports in Construction Management Software
  • Photograph site progress and issues daily, and upload to PM software (Procore) or email to office team
  • Maintains effective, accurate, efficient and clear communication with Project Manager and Office Staff
  • Respond to customer inquiries on job site
  • Other tasks as directed

 Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in occupied space/hotel renovation projects required
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to travel nationwide
  • OSHA Certification (10 hour or 30 hour certification)
  • Spanish speaking skills a PLUS
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

 Compensation

  • Salary range $55,000 - $70,000 based on experience
