Construction - Regional Director of Capital Projects - Healthcare - 20+ Years Experience in California.




Currently Recruiting for Regional Director of Capital Projects  -  Northern California Area.


The ideal candidate will have a Masters or Bachelor Degree, 20 + years of construction experience, and 15 + years of California - OSHPD experience. The Regional Director of Capital Projects will be responsible for the implementation and measurement of system-wide project management processes and standards.

Responsibilities of the Construction Regional  Director of Capital Projects - Healthcare -OSHPD

  • Work with the Construction Division Team dedicated to a single client, a multi-site healthcare system in California.
  • Provide superior client service. Provide superior employee management.
  • Enhance own professional and personal skills.
  • Meet assigned financial targets.
  • Support Executive Management with team adherence to system-wide processes and procedures.
  • Develop and oversee implementation and administration of operational systems and procedures.
  • Determine optimum staffing model.
  • Train and monitor staff, proactively work with managers on gaps.
  • Manage ongoing client reporting regarding capital program status.
  • Manage to benchmark data transference to Project Management Office.
  • Support field management in training and evaluating team adherence to standards and overall performance. Direct Manager to other support staff.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.

Requirements of the Regional Director of Capital projects - Healthcare -OSHPD

  • Minimum 20+ years of experience and 15 + years experience in an Acute and Ambulatory Healthcare environment ( CALIFORNIA - OSHPD - REQUIRED)
  • Masters or Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Civil Eng., Construction Management,  Architecture, Engineering and Advanced Accounting knowledge a plus. PE preferred
  • Lead Projects / Program Management of Large and Small Capital project experience
  • Ability to prepare and track system-wide budgets
  • Understanding of technical requirements and Healthcare Operations
  • Knowledge of architectural drawings, furniture and space planning concepts a must
  • Skill in managing all administrative and technical aspects of projects in a medical healthcare environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Project Controls
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project delivery development and execution preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SEGA 300 -Timberline preferred and other related software packages
