Job Description

Stueve Construction is looking for a Construction Framing Foreman to join our company.  All applicants must be willing to travel to and live in remote project locations until completion of construction projects.

Position Overview:

The Framing Foreman is responsible for monitoring progress for all self-performing heavy timber construction work, subcontractor coordination, supervision, jobsite safety and coordination of inspections on the job site.  The Foreman directs the day to day activities of the laborers and the ongoing decision making pertaining to project planning and production.  The foreman will be required to work hands on as well as supervise daily tasks of laborers onsite.

Summary of Duties:

  • Blue Print reading, layout and planning of the day to day work to perform specific carpentry and other tasks.
  • Manage scheduling and coordination of subcontractors, onsite labor and materials.
  • Daily review of "work in place" and compliance of work with plans.
  • Manage overall safety of the job site
  • Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports,etc
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Project Manager or other Operations management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct carpentry framing experience and a solid working knowledge of rough carpentry and general construction.
  • Experience in supervising a direct hire workforce and subcontractors
  • Must be able to read and understand blue prints and other construction documents
  • Ability to initiate and maintain professional business relationships including working effectively with customers, engineers, co-workers, and subcontractors
  • Ability to resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable in use of computers and utilizing Microsoft Office
