Position Details Req ID: req19394 Position Title: Building Engineer Position Type: Staff Full-Time Position Number: GS9373 OSU Campus: Tulsa - Center for Health Sciences/OSU Medicine Department: Facilities Management Location Address: 2401 SW Blvd Tulsa , Oklahoma, 74107 United States Hiring Supervisor: Hiring Range: (Contingent upon available funding): 24.05 - 27.05, Hourly Work Schedule: Days (6am-4pm) Sunday to Wednesday Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Position Summary: Travels to separate locations to Operate andmaintain OSU-Tulsa Campus. Physical Plant equipment. Maintainsequipment by tightening fittings, re-packing bearing, replacing packing glands,gaskets, valves, and gauges. Cleans or replaces components using hand tools andpower tools. Maintains all air handling units by replacing defective belts,bearings, lubrication of fans and replacements of filters. Maintains allbuilding lighting systems including replacement of fixtures, bulbs, andballasts. Performs general electrical and plumbing duties. Performs water testsand replaces chemicals as needed into treatment tank to prevent scale build-up.This role will record data, such as temperature of equipment, hours ofoperation, water and air pressure, water levels, voltage loads and staticpressure. Adjusts manual controls or overrides automatic controls to bringequipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges. Visually inspectsequipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair.Responds to emergency building system failures for Tulsa campus and buildings inthe evening. Environmental Hazards: Hazardous Material; exposure to heat/cold. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift or carry usually not more than 100lbs, 10 to 20 feet, most frequently 50 to 100lbs, 50 feet. Ability to push or pull 50 to 100 lbs, 50 feet. Systems include Niagara, Metasys, Siemens, etc.
