Welder/Fabricator

McHugh Locomotive & Equipment is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team at our Fairless Hills, PA shop. The individual in this position will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills, good communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Perform welding and fabrication tasks using various welding techniques (MIG, Stick, Carbon Arc, etc.).

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within specifications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding and fabrication processes.

- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.

- Required use of personal protective equipment.

- Required to pass drug/alcohol screening.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or vocational training in welding is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication.

- Able to weld in all positions.

- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, Stick, Carbon Arc, etc.).

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to welding and fabrication.

- Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
