Adhere to all work-related activities in an ethical and consistent manner. Follow safety standards and company policies, including attending mandatory safety training Complete daily tasks as directed by work orders or Supervisor/Lead within the timeframes specified, ensuring minimal production delays. Set up and adjust welding equipment to match gauge and product specifications. Ensure parts are welded and verified according to the drawings. Confirm the correct raw material or sub-assembly is being used for production. Report production status and daily work utilization by scanning into RFGen. Maintain accurate material and scrap counts. Produce high-quality, non-porous, and consistent welds with strong penetration. Remove any accumulated weld slag from fixtures that could affect part placement or quality, grinding or blowing off as needed. Ensure parts are ground smooth per drawing specifications. Follow proper procedures and utilize appropriate jigs and fixtures during assembly. Perform a 100% inspection of the first completed part per the drawing and continue checking parts during production according to the Madix Operator/Inspection Report. Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Supervisor/Lead. Keep track of company tools and equipment. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and other contaminants. Respond to machine malfunctions and alarm signals promptly. Ensure quality control by comparing the welded product to blueprints or specifications. Perform checks by evaluating weight, size, shape, and/or texture, and measuring workpieces for accuracy using rulers, templates, or other measuring tools. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following safety protocols and hygiene regulations. , and report all accidents or incidents immediately, regardless of severity. Participate in lean events as directed by the supervisor. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to productivity, quality, safety, environmental impact, and ergonomics, in a fast-paced environment. Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure smooth workflow. Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to work in non-MIG welding roles as needed.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to safely operate, set up, and adjust MIG welding equipment, along with basic hand and power tools. Consistently produce vertical or flat welds of acceptable quality. Ability to weld various materials, from 24-gauge wire to -inch plate. Ability to work in awkward positions for extended periods while welding. Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination. Ability to operate levers, buttons, and/or foot pedals. Proficiency in using simple gauges and measuring instruments. Strong communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and managers. Ability to follow and execute instructions accurately. Flexibility to work weekends and/or overtime as needed. Ability to focus and work effectively in a noisy environment. Willingness to wear required protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, welding helmets, boots, and respirators. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaborate within a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to observe and learn from more experienced welders.

Education and Experience:

Successful completion of the Madix welding test; certification is a plus. Working knowledge of welding processes and equipment. Formal MIG welding training from a community college, technical school, or hands-on production experience required. Education equivalent to 1-2 years of high school. High school diploma/GED preferred, or one year of factory/manufacturing experience. Computer skills are a plus. Proficiency in math, including fractions and angles. Ability to use a tape measure, protractors, and interpret blueprints or simple drawings. Basic reading and writing skills are a must.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant with significant temperature fluctuations. Exposure to high heat and flame-producing equipment. Dusty and noisy work conditions. Exposure to odors and fumes.
