SALARY
The minimum salary is $18.286 per hour
This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.
Pay Grade 512
This position is eligible for Hazardous Duty Supplemental Pay ($90/month or $0.52/hour) upon hire and CDL pay ($1.08/hour) once obtained within the first six (6) months of employment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to provide maintenance work, ensuring clean, safe, and well-maintained parks through the operation of necessary equipment to accomplish specified tasks.
This position performs park services utilizing batwing mowers, triplex mowers, packer trucks, skidsteers, tractors, and dump trucks for Park Maintenance Districts. This position provides mowing services, event support, and other park services requiring the skill of operating large machinery.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience operating similar equipment
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operates equipment including but not limited to backhoe, forklift, dump truck, and tractors
- Performs preventative and needed maintenance on equipment to maintain proper running condition
- Completes construction work on roads, parks, and other government property
- Enters data into a database for tracking of completed orders and creation of reports
- Travels to sites and performs on-site visits and assessments
- Conducts snow removal
- Assists and supports special events as needed
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Valid Driver's License to qualify
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B and a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate within the six (6) month probationary period
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, on call, and call back as assigned and on unscheduled emergencies
