Machine Operator $25-29/hr 3rd Shift**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled machine operator to join our team on the 3rd shift, working from Sunday to Thursday, 11 PM- 7AM. As a Tube Line Operator, you will play a crucial role in learning and mastering the operations of various equipment, including the burnisher, straightener, saw, and buffer, to produce high-quality products. You will also operate overhead cranes, plate blasters, and forklifts while maintaining the tube line equipment.
Mechanical minded individuals would be great even without machine operating experience!
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform welding repairs to seam splits on manufactured tubes.
+ Operate forklifts to move materials in shop areas.
+ Maintain a productive working environment to manufacture high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Perform regular preventative maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas.
+ Demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors conforming to all safety policies and procedures.
+ Perform various other duties requested by the supervisor to ensure customer requests are met.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in machine operation and general labor tasks.
+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery such as grinding and hand tools.
+ Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
+ Capability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency in reading and following written and verbal instructions.
+ Ability to solve practical problems efficiently.
+ Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with more frequent lifts of up to 10 pounds.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in fabrication and welding.
+ Pass a forklift test from the safety department.
+ Ability to work timely and expeditiously to deliver on-time, high-quality results.
