Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.As part of a hardworking team of diverse Welders, Fabricators, and Engineers, you will Fabricate, and Weld ground support equipment tubing hardware for various spaceflight systems fluid components using Orbital Tube Welding (OTW) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG). You will share in the teams impact on all aspects of these operations ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
It also includes the set up and operation of manual, power-operated mandrel and computerized numerical controlled (CNC) tube bending machines to fabricate production tubing from bend data card, tubing detail or assembly blueprints and library mock-up tubes developed by mock-up personnel.
Make measurements from master and/or input tube data dimensional information from drawings and engineering sketches to develop data for reproducing or checking bent tube configurations by utilizing tube data center equipment. Plan sequence of bending operation from complex tubing assembly or detail blueprints and bends tubes without the use of mock-up developed tubing templates or bend data cards as required.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
