Under limited supervision, perform skilled electrical work in the operation, repair and renovation of buildings, equipment, and interior/exterior lighting.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials:
Valid driver's license, good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 years of experience. Prefer experience including Fire Alarm Systems and/or one year of technical training in electrical trade. Familiar with most current National Electric Code and National Fire Protection Association code.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Pre-employment drug screen and successful background check are required. Thorough knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in general building maintenance and construction trades applicable to the job, especially electrical. Thorough knowledge of techniques methods, and practices of designated trades. Skill in use of tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand and interpret plans and specifications. Ability to work independently.
