Diesel Mechanic

Duties

Repair and maintain various types of equipment, including industrial machinery, farm machinery, and automotive vehicles.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality.
Fabricate parts as needed to support repairs and maintenance tasks.
Align components to manufacturer specifications for optimal performance.
Conduct repairs on air brake systems to ensure safety compliance.
Weld components when necessary to restore equipment integrity.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Skills

Proficient in equipment repair with a focus on diesel engines.
Strong fabrication skills for creating or modifying parts as required.
Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance requirements.
Ability to align mechanical components accurately for optimal performance.
Experience with industrial equipment repair and maintenance practices.
Familiarity with electrical systems related to diesel engines and heavy machinery.
Background in automotive repair techniques is advantageous.
Welding skills are preferred for performing necessary repairs on equipment.
