Machine Operator Job Description This position involves loading metal coils onto the production line using a hi-lo, feeding the coil into the line, and overseeing the machine as it trims the coil to customer specifications. Post-trimming, you will inspect and tag the coil based on gauge and material. This is a physically demanding role that requires pushing and pulling bins and handling large metal coils. Training will be provided to operate the line independently and pull up orders on the computer. Responsibilities Load metal coils onto the production line using a hi-lo. Feed coils into the line and monitor the trimming process. Inspect and tag trimmed coils based on gauge and material. Perform physical tasks involving pushing and pulling of bins. Operate the line independently after training. Use computer systems to pull up and manage orders. Essential Skills 3+ years of recent machine operation experience requiring setup or background in welding, fabrication, or mechanics. Ability to perform physical labor, including pushing and pulling bins. Willingness to work independently. Flexibility to work different shifts and availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays. Minimum score of 70% on the Bennett Mechanical test. Valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with hi-lo operations and handling metal products. Why Work Here? A signing bonus of $1,000 is also offered. There is an opportunity for quarterly raises of $0.60 contingent on good attendance, equating to $2.40 per year. The facility deals with metal products, which necessitates adherence to safety protocols. Flexibility in shift work is required, with openings available on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Holly, Michigan. This is a Direct Hire position. When employed by this company you are on the companies payroll as their employee. This is NOT a contract or temporary position. Pay rate = $19.50/hr with a $2.40 raise every year. Pay rate caps at $25/hr Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40560.00 - $40560.00/yr.
